Lochwinnoch Extra Trial Version is Live

Hi Folks
Well I have managed to work my way round some of the intricacies of web site making, and I can tell you there are many steps and many pitfalls. Apart from the writing of words, you have to create the page, save in the correct format, upload to the hosting server and so on.
Finally I have got a trial version consisting of one page only, but Live on the Internet.
Hooray.
You can see it on the link below.
LochwinnochExtra
Next task is to pretty it up significantly - the "real" version will look so much better -  and gather more contributions. Lots more to come.
I have spoken to folk and handed out my postcards, so I am hoping for input from you lot out there.
Please send me your information and tell your friends.
All the Best

Lochwinnoch Extra - new - Articles

Another feature I would like to include is a series of one-off articles concerning interesting goings-on locally.
You know the sort of thing – perhaps about your garden, or an outing you enjoyed, or a round of golf with a humorous touch. Anything which might pique the imagination, or inspire a good reaction, or promote an event or happening.
Have a think, put pen to paper - or use your keyboard - and send it to me. I'm afraid, as you would expect, I shall have the final word over what is published on Lochwinnoch Extra, so keep it clean!
Maybe I will start it off myself with a wee review of the craft fairs at the Arts Festival.
By the way – Lochwinnoch Arts Festival is on from 15th to 25th March 2012 and here is their website.

Lochwinnoch Extra Online Directory new logo

Here are my new logos, had quite  abit of fun making these up.
Oh how easy it is to while away some hours on a cold windy day.

Lochwinnoch Extra, My new website

Hello Lochwinnoch Folk
I am spreading the word about my new website for Lochwinnoch.
At the start it will be a free online directory, and gradually will grow to encompass many aspects of life in Lochwinnoch.
I will certainly be adding a What’s On section to help spread the word about local events, both regular and – I was going to say irregular but I maybe I should say - not on a regular timetable.
Just now I am collecting information about local businesses and will “Go Live” when I have gathered enough entries. From then on I will be adding to Lochwinnoch Extra as I receive info, so get writing your piece and send it to me.
And tell your friends.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Amendment to information requested for Lochwinnoch Extra Online Directory

Okay, time to admit my mistake - forgot to include in the possible info to be included - business name and contact person! Oooops.
Of course you can decide for yourself exactly what info goes on the website.

Well, folks, time for you to sign up and send your information to me.
I will be round to talk to you, and/or email to you.
Things are progressing and I am moving towards setting up the website - it is not live yet.
Looking forward to that  !

Join in Lochwinnoch Extra

My Lochwinnoch Extra directory will be informal and friendly, with people writing their own blub about their business, group, hobby or organization.
I will help if wanted, but it’s nice to have a personal touch, with your own words about your own interest, with links to other information such as your own website.

The website will go live in a week or two, as soon as I have collected enough entries to make it worthwhile – don’t want a website with a few lonely entries on it!
You can join in by email, comment below, phone or letter. Or even in person.
So get in touch and let’s make Lochwinnoch Extra successful.

Thanks from Gill Bell
